Welcome!

I’m so glad you’re here!  At Rising Phoenix Yoga & Healing, my mission is to provide yoga, sound journeys, and wellness in a non-judgmental and supported space. Empowering students to create a life of gratitude, mindfulness, and healing through the exploration of self expression, reflection, and connection. I believe by developing a deeper connection with our bodies we can live a life of healing and self-love, and in doing so, build a deeper connection with others.

About Me

My yoga journey began as a way to add variety to my physical fitness regimen, but I quickly realized yoga is so much more than physical postures. Showing up on my mat helped me learn to connect with my emotions, ease my anxiety, quiet my mind, and be more present, on and off the mat. 

I began teaching yoga shortly after graduating from my 200 hour teacher training in the spring of 2022. As my yoga practice and teachings continued, I became aware of the need for deep healing, not just for myself, but also for so many others searching for peace and well-being. With this awareness, and the fact that I love to learn, I continued my education and became certified in a variety of different healing modalities.

My teaching integrates mindful movement, breathwork, sound, and stillness using a variety of traditional yoga styles, as well as Grief Yoga®️, Trauma Informed Yoga, and Energy Medicine Yoga, along with Meditation and Sound Healing. I offer wellness practices in a variety of settings, including public in-studio classes, private individual and group sessions, outdoor sessions, wellness events, and retreats. 

With over three decades of experience in the service industry, I bring a deep understanding of care, hospitality, and human connection to the wellness space. Guided by my own healing journey, I create supportive and nurturing spaces, where others can explore movement, stillness, and self discovery.

As a co-author of The Call Within, Finding Purpose and Sparking Transformation, a collaborative book sharing personal healing journeys and stories of hope, I share a deeply personal part of my own healing journey—a story of self-discovery, resilience, and a deep sense of belonging.  Through my work, I hope my story offers strength and hope to others on their own path. 

I believe we are all students, always learning and evolving.

Through living mindfully and teaching from my heart, I believe wellness is not a destination, but rather, a journey—-one that begins with the courage to look within.

I’m honored to walk beside you on your journey.

Release & Restore

Restorative Yoga & Sound Journey 

Saturdays

9:00-10:30am

You're invited to go on a journey of self discovery, inner connection, and deep relaxation. You'll be guided through a variety of restorative yoga postures, using your breath to soften and release tension in your body, while using props to support you. To deepen your relaxation, you'll be surrounded with the meditative, vibrational sounds of a sound bath, bringing a sense of calm and balance to your body, mine, and spirit.

Gentle Yoga

Thursdays at 10:00am

This gentle flow class begins with a short meditation, followed by gentle, stretching and flow style movements, pausing in our postures, using breath and movement to focus on and honor what our body needs

Sound Healing

A sound healing session is created by playing various instruments, such as crystal bowls, Tibetan metal bowls, chimes, drums, and gongs. The sound and vibration created promotes deep relaxation, nervous system rebalancing, and emotional release.

Private Session

I work with you to customize a session to meet your individual or group needs, whether that be yoga, sound healing, or a combination of both.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga postures are held for 5 to 10 minutes and focus on bringing the body into complete relaxation with the use of props to help support the body. This practice can help with stress relief, lowering anxiety, improved sleep quality, calming the nervous system, and so much more.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga postures are held for 3 to 5 minutes and focus on stretching connective tissue such as ligaments, joints, and fascia. Stretching our connective tissue can help with mobility, flexibility, and unblocking our body's energy centers to allow our energy to flow more freely.

Chair Yoga

First Tuesday of the month at  11:00am

This chair yoga class is a gentle form of yoga done while seated or using a chair as support. This class is suitable for all levels of yoga experience and is accessible for students with mobility concerns.

Grief Yoga

Grief yoga blends a variety of yoga styles, using movement, breathwork, and vocalization to help process grief. By being in the present moment and bringing awareness to our bodies and where we hold pain, we can begin to reconnect to love and the gift of life.

Energy Medicine Yoga (EMYoga)

Energy medicine yoga integrates classic yoga postures with ancient traditional healing modalities, including working with the Meridian system, tapping, self massage, holds to calm and regulate the body's stress responses, and much more. This works to balance the body's energy systems, activating its natural healing intelligence.
